"I bought one just to try it out and loved it so much I immediately bought two more. Very easy to clean and fill, and most importantly it keeps the ants out completely. Couldn't be happier."

    Double Ant Moat

Two independent water barriers stop ants and crawling insects before they can reach the nectar. Most feeders have one moat — we insist on two.

    shield
    Bee-Proof Port Design

Feeding ports are engineered so only a hummingbird's long tongue can reach the nectar. Bees, wasps, and yellow jackets physically cannot access the sugar water.

    wb_sunny
    UV Sunshade

The integrated sunshade shields nectar from direct UV, keeping the sugar water fresher and clearer for up to twice as long.

You Put Out Nectar for Hummingbirds. Bees and Ants Got There First.

You mixed the nectar. You hung the feeder. You waited by the window.

Instead of hummingbirds, you got a swarm of yellow jackets and a line of ants marching straight to the sugar water. The hummingbirds took one look and flew on by.

1 in 3 hummingbird owners give up within their first season. 70% of nectar put out ends up wasted, spoiled, or fought over by bees. Bees arrive at an unprotected feeder in as little as 3 days.

It's not you. It's the feeder.

Bee-Proof Feeder vs. Traditional Hummingbird Feeders

Most feeders slap on a plastic bee-guard and call it done. This one was engineered from the ground up around three layers of insect defense.

    • Bee & wasp protection — engineered port design bees physically cannot reach — vs ❌ cheap bee-guards that end up needing cleaning
    • Ant protection — double ant moat (two barriers, not one) — vs ❌ single moat or no moat at all
    • Nectar freshness — UV sunshade keeps nectar fresh up to 2× longer — vs ❌ no sun protection, nectar spoils in 1-2 days
    • Appearance — beautiful tulip design that looks great in your backyard — vs ❌ basic plastic silhouette
    • Refilling — quick-fill top port, no need to remove the feeder — vs ❌ must fully disassemble to refill
    • Cleaning — wide-mouth design, dishwasher safe, no narrow necks — vs ❌ hard-to-reach corners that grow mold

Better protection doesn't have to mean more work. It just has to be smarter.

"Wasps had taken over my old hummingbird feeder and chased the birds away. I saw this Roamwild-style feeder solved the problem, so I gave it a shot. Now I have lots of happy hummingbird visitors and no pesky yellowjackets."

"Love this feeder. Especially keeping the ants out. The double moat actually works — three weeks in and not a single ant has touched anything. Hummingbirds figured it out within a day. Should have bought this years ago."

Fill It. Hang It. Watch the Magic.

      1. FILL — Mix 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. Pour through the wide-mouth top port — no funnels, no spills. One fill keeps hummingbirds happy for days.

      2. HANG — Hook the stainless steel hanger on any pole, branch, or shepherd's hook. Place in a shaded spot near flowers for best results.

      3. ENJOY — Watch Ruby-throated, Anna's, and Rufous hummingbirds arrive within days. Even bees and ants learn they're not invited.

Bonus: The quick-fill top port lets you top up without ever taking the feeder down.

      Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our products and services.

The feeding ports are precision-designed so that only a hummingbird's long tongue can reach the nectar. Bees and wasps physically can't insert their shorter mouthparts far enough to feed. No mesh guards, no maintenance, no chemicals.

The double ant moat. Two independent water reservoirs sit between the hanging point and the feeder body — ants can't swim across either one. Even if one moat evaporates in hot weather, the second one keeps guard.

Up to 5 birds at once, thanks to 5 feeding ports arranged around the base. During peak migration you'll see them queue and rotate through.

Just white cane sugar and water — 1 part sugar to 4 parts water, boiled and cooled. No red dye, no store-bought "hummingbird food" — they're unnecessary and can be harmful to the birds. The feeder's red color is enough to attract them.

Every 3-5 days in cool weather, every 2 days in hot weather (85°F+). The UV sunshade extends nectar life significantly, but sugar water still needs to be refreshed regularly to prevent mold.

Twist off the top quick-fill port and pour new nectar in — no need to take the feeder down or disassemble. Takes about 30 seconds.

Very. The entire feeder comes apart in seconds and every piece is dishwasher-safe (top rack). A cleaning brush is included for spot-scrubbing between full washes.

Currently available in Yellow. Red and blue variants are in production for next season.

Yes. All parts that contact nectar are BPA-free, food-grade polycarbonate. The silicone flower ports are the same food-grade material used in baby products. No lead, no phthalates.

Yes — the polycarbonate body is UV- and cold-rated. However, if you have freezing temperatures, we recommend bringing the feeder indoors overnight to prevent the nectar from expanding and cracking the internal walls.

In a partially shaded spot, ideally near flowering plants or shrubs. Avoid direct all-day sun (spoils nectar faster) and open windy areas (spills). 4-6 feet off the ground is ideal for hummingbirds and out of cat reach.

Depends on your region. If hummingbirds are already active nearby, expect visits within 1-3 days. In new setups or off-season, it can take up to 2 weeks. Hanging near existing flowers helps them notice it.

You have 30 days to try it risk-free. If bees, wasps, or ants get to the nectar (or if you're just not happy for any reason), send it back for a full refund. We cover the return shipping.

Double Ant Moat — Two independent water moats create an impassable barrier for ants, earwigs, and crawling insects. Even if one moat runs dry, the other prevents crossing.

Bee-Proof Ports — The port opening is engineered to be reachable only by a hummingbird's long tongue — not a bee's proboscis. No mesh, no barriers, no maintenance.

UV Sunshade — The integrated tulip-shaped canopy shields the nectar from direct sunlight, slowing fermentation and keeping the sugar water clear for up to twice as long.

Wide-Mouth Cleaning — The entire feeder disassembles in seconds and every surface is reachable by hand or dishwasher. No moldy corners, no funky smells.

Built to Last — UV-resistant polycarbonate body, stainless steel hardware, and silicone flower ports rated for 10+ seasons of outdoor use.
